Chillmatic

so i need your guys help again.. for about two years now my check engine lights been on (since i got hte car).. its been the 02 sensor and the intake air temp sensor.. finally replaced the 02 sensor cleared that code.. today i got hte air intake sensor and plugged that in to my ebay intake.. doesnt fit to well so i siliconed it on.. took power off my battery and check engine came back on.. so from one of my old ek harnesses i took hte plug to the sensor and spliced the wires and put them together.. took power off battery again and check engine came back on.. so i went to advance and had them check the code.. still intake air temp sensor.. any ideas?
