i wanted to buy a aem or injen intake for my civic. (short ram)
when i bought the car i didnt know if it was a ex dx..etc.. its a vtec and has a sunroof so i was told it was an ex. so this is what i go by. i wanted to get one of these intakes online but wasnt sure which to order.. 92-00 intakes fit the ex models and the intakes for 92-95 fit only the dx??. if ur not sure what im talkin about do a search on ebay for civic intakes (aem)/(injen).

just because your car has a sun roof does not mean its an ex. What year is your car? got a picture of it?

By looking at your screen name, it would imply that your car is a 95. look at the side of the engine to find the engine code.

If the code is d16z6, then it is an ex (VTEC).

If the code is d15b7 then it is a dx (non-vtec).

I have had a 95 ex and now i have a 95dx. The intake manifold design is very similar so it should fit both cars. I had my j's racing style intake on both cars.

yea i bought the car wit a short ram aem and the filter was destoyed so for the time being i bought a pepboys apc one and now i want to go with a polished intake with either aem or injen filter.

ill look at the engine code tomarow. i checked my vin though and it said it was a 1.6 vtec. but ill check the engine tomaorw to be sure. thanks.

and the only reason i asked about the car having a sunroof and being an ex is because i went to Honda for a part and the guy at the counter asked me what model it was and i said i wasnt sure.. he asked me if it had a sunroof..i said yea.. then hes like ohh yea thats an ex then. but i wasnt sure.. that was his call.
