Default Insuring a highley modified honda civic? Can you get it insured for 15-20k?

Hey guys, im looking at a highley modified honda civic with aftermarket block and absolutely everything. Super nice car. My question is will i be able to get this car insured for what its worth or only for what a stock civic is worth? How does this work and will i hit any snags here? Thanks, Joey

i suggest calling your local insurace company. not trying to be a dick, but a more beneficail post would say something like, "just called the insurance company about insuring my highly modified civic.....this is what I found out." that way in the future someone could read this if they were like you and searched the web before making a simple phone call.

Most insurance comp have what is called agreed value insurance. You will have to shop around for this and you will pay a higher price for you insurance.

like r33dm0n3y said, call your insurance company. theres no way anyone here can know what your insurance agent will say.

uh yeah no. gap insurance is insurance to cover you if you have a loan in case you pretty much end up upside down on your loan. so if your car gets totalled and the amount your insurance pays you does not cover the remaining balance of your loan, gap covers "the gap" of the payout and remaining balance of the loan

there is a way to get modifications covered by your insurance, i knew someone that had a car he used for shows and a DD... but he was insured for 25,000 but his monthly payment was ridiculous

as long as you have receipts for everything you can insure it, but only interior/exterior things, no motor/wear and tear parts. Buy a car alarm and drive safely, save your money
