Default Insurance in SF..please post

My insurance is gonna be $6k for a 98 auto civic EX. I'm 17 with a clean driving record. Is that too much? Can I go elsewhere for it to be cheaper?

6 grand a year? if that's right, sounds like way too much. i have a '98 ex 5 speed and pay 300 a month in north carolina and have about the shittiest driving record possible. progressive it the only company that covers me

21st century is lower. that is WAY too high. the reason why your insurance is so high, is because you're a new license driver. the longer you have your license, and a clean record, the lower your insurance will go.

6K?! holy ****!
thats 500$ a month!

put it this way, I have a street racing ticket, a criminal speeding ticket, 2 cars registered with full coverage (my 97 240 they know has a motor swap, and my 91 accord) and i dont even pay 300 a month. i also live in an apartment, in the auto thieft capitol of the WORLD.

you are getting screwed.

first i would shop around. second expect your insurance to be high. ur 17, a male and u drive an extremely high theft vehicle. but 6 grand is a crapload! (per year? or per 6 months?)
