Insurance cover mods
Will your insurance automatcially cover all the mods on yur car? Do yu need picture proof if yu get in a wreck to get yur mod money back? If insuarnce doesn't auto cover all your new parts how can yu cover them?

NO
But if you tell them before hand they will give you a new quote based on the real value of your car. It will cost you more, but then you are covered is someone hits your or steals you car.

I depends on your insurance company. Some will automaticlly cover things like rims and stereo stuff, as long as the mods aren't worth more then half of the blue book on the car.
Otherwise, you need to call them and ask, see what they will cover under your coverage, then show them reciepts of the stuff you want covered and let them give you a new quote.
For examply, there is no way they will give you 20k on a car that blue books for 5k. Especially when you were paying rates for a car worth 5k.
Expect to pay more though, since highly modded cars are a higher theft risk.

Re: Insurance cover mods (tonyxcom)
Typical insurance does not cover any modifications.
In order ro have your mods covered, you need to have your car re-estimated BEFORE any accident. This will of course make your monthly payments go higher.

Re: Insurance cover mods (VWkila)
after my car was recover d from theft, it was a total....i had to provide proof all the mods and since all the receipts were in the glove box i had to research all my MC charges to the speed shops i got the stuff from..it total d over 7k..the car had 120k on it..high milage so the depreciated the cost of the mods based on the milage and yr of the car..i think i end d up getting only 20% back all i spent...the insurance company just cant be taking peoples words regarding mods or they wouldnt be in business very long
