Default instrument panel help

I'm having a little problem with my instrument panel... nothing lights up..

the only thing that does light up is the SRS light, High Beam, seatbelt, e-brake, turn signals, and the usual things.

what doesn't light up: gauge faces, cruse control light, climate control lights, defroster, and hazard lights

actually, the climate control lights do like up, but they don't "come on" when I turn on the parking lights or the headlights

I checked every fuse related to those lights with my dmm, and everything is fine. I even pulled out the cluster and checked all of the plugs to make sure everything was connected. I still haven't had any luck

I even tried to see if there was any power going to the dimmer wire from the radio harness, and there wasn't.

the only time it was light up was when I was driving through campus and hit a bump and everything came on, then it went right back off agian.

does anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong with this?

edit: yes I did search on here and other honda sites.. I've found other problems like this, but with no answers.

well if everytime you hit a bump and it turns on then that usally means a wire is loose. maybe recheck all power connections to the cluster. it might be getting power to light srs and high beam lights but not enough to power light the entire cluster

It seems like a wiring issue. Did you test them yet?

that only happened one time with it lighting up

I checked the one plug that gives it power (I followed all of the wires on the bac kof the cluster to see which wires are the + and - and I found them to be the red and red/black wire. (I think the plug is the P510 but I could be wrong) I tested those wires with the headlights on and off, and both gave me 0v. my friend and I are going to tear apart everything on wed since we both have off work. I just want an early jump on this.

lik eI said, I've searched online on alot of sites, a few people have had this problem, but there haven't been any solutions

I checked directly on the wires..

I'm going to follow the wires around under the dash to the fuse box to see if there's anything wrong between the plug and the fusebox...

I just hate it being like 20 degrees out

and I'm sick of turning on the overhead light to see how fast I'm going on the way home from work
