Installing Suspension on a 96-00 Civic ?
I was wondering if I did it right ?
Yesterday I took off the rear suspension to swap in a spring strut combo (kyb h&r) and there was no way I was going to install the coilovers without taking the rear LCA off . I took it completley off . Was this the right way to do it? Maybe I did it wrong ?

i guess if you got it done it works. i undo the lower arm where it attaches to the center of the car, and then everything pops right out. pretty quick. takes maybe 30 mins to do both back sides.

There are three bolts on the rear lca. You only need to remove the bolt on the outside (connects to the tailing arm) and the middle one (connects to the shock). The third bolt attaches to the rear subframe and does not need to be removed since you can swing the rest of the lca up and down.

This is exactly what I did but the problem is that the one that connects to the subframe was not going to pop out or move if I did not take the one off that hooks up to the trailing arm.

Dont laught @ me guys but it took me nearly 3 hours just to do the back. Because the god damn bushings from the trailing arm to the lca were not lining up right. I was so pissed . In the end all I had to do was bang the bolt with a hammer and that made it go through.

Just be glad that was your only problem. My bushings were frozen to the bolts and I had to cut them.

You didn't have to completely take the lca off the car,
all you had to do was to take out the bolt connecting the shock to the lca and also the bolts connecting the shock with the frame of the car.
anyhow, whatever works.

no worries there, when i installed my rear tie bar. Kicking at the tires helped a lot to get it lined up.
