Default installing RS-R exhaust...

I got my RS-R exhaust today for my 93 civic DX coupe. 340 at turborimports.com.

Is there anything I need to know before i slap it on? I was wondering if I might need some kind of exhaust gasket sealant (it came with all the hardware and gaskets) and if so what kind works best? thanks! I'll let you guys know how it is when I'm done.

On my 4dr, it rubbed pretty hard against a screw, you may wanna watch out for that it'll take some adjusting.

Took me and a friend about 2.5 hours from start to finish including prep and clean up.

MAN this exhaust is ******* SWEET I love it already and it's looks awesome. Plus there is no rice boy weedwacker sound! I totally recommend RS*R exhausts. The fit was perfect! Only hard part was getting the damn top bolt at the cat off. My friend and I affectionally called it the BITCH BOLT. took us nearly 30 min just for that one!

After we finished we went for a cruse... noticed some real gains. Surprisingly the most noticeable gain was on the LOW END. WTF? I thought having a more free flowing exhaust ment loss on the low end! I'm confused. But either way there is a nice boost to low and top end as well as midrange. I gained about 5 mph on my "test onramp" I hit 85 at the top now it was 75 when stock, 80 with AEM's CAI...

anyways, a great exhaust totally worth the $375 from http://www.turboimport.com

thanks for the help guys... I need to go buy a new can of WD-40 soon as I used a hole shitload of it.

Call me a fool, but this seems like a shamless plug for the company...And not an actual install.

Make sure you properly do your donut gasket and bolt kit, well I guess only if you're doing your cat too. Hey ,while your'e under there buy a carsound high-flow cat.

What are the details of this exhaust? How big is the pipe, is it a full catback?

the piping looks like 2.5 in or maybe 2.25, the tip is 3 in or so... from the cat back. Next on my list is the high flow cat. Does anyone know how long it takes for exhaust to "break in" and make its true sound?

If you guys want, i'll get some pictures up of the system when I get ahold of a digi camera.

Far as I can tell, mine was 2.25" (I measured it before we put it on). I got it from turboimport.com too. I think its been about a month or two and the sound seems to have gotten a little deeper since I put it on. Good stuff though. I love this exhaust

The sound gets a little deeper after about 1500 miles. Still next to stock sounding in low rpms though. It isn't really a "free flowing" exhaust, the muffler doesn't run through the center. If I remember right it is 2.25". I got one from http://www.alternativemotoring.com and I think they're a little cheper in price.
