Default Installing rocker arms/camshaft. What are these pieces?

What are these?
I dont know where from the head that they came from but I know they are from the head.

Did they come from the bottom end of the head?

I do but didn't see where it was mentioned...
They don't fit on the top where the rocker arms are, and don't fit on the rocker arms as far as I know.

Looks like dowels to me and they should go on opposite corners of the head on the bottom though.

Do not use pliers or any kind of hammer to install them if they're warped or ovalized in any way, you'll just crush them and they will never fit. They should slide in with almost zero resistance, be gentle. They're there to align the head and the block with each other, don't skip out on them because they're absolutely necessary.

In your picture the if you will look out the valley where the cam sits. All the bolt holes have a dowel in it except the last one on the bottom right try there maybe but they look to big in he picture but just throwing out ideas man
