Default Installing JDM Mirrors (DIY)

I decided to put a little DIY for JDM folding mirrors w/ OEM relay. There have been some out there but they may be alittle confusing or unclear.

Materials Needed:
JDM Mirrors
OEM Relay Box
8mm Ratchet
Philips/Flat Screw Driver
Paper Clip
Wire Loom(not necessary)
22 or 18 guage wire
Electrical Tape

1.Take off Door panal

2. On the JDM clip that connects to the switch(green) you will see that there is an extra wire on the very left side. Remove this wire and put it in the exact spot in the USDM switch clip. You will need a paper clip to remove the wire.

3. You will then go the the clip that connects to the mirrors. Look at the JDM one and the USDM one. you will see that the JDM clip has 2 extra wires. Remove the 2 and put them in the same spot on the USDM clip. Use the same method with the paper clip to remove wires.

4. After you have done that, use the following diagram to wire mirrors and OEM relay box. You may put the relay box anyplace you choose. I decided to put the box in the driver side kick panel. Heres a diagram on how to wire them up.

5. This is how I put feed the wires from the door to the inside of the car. There are many ways to do it but I thought this is the most simplest way.

6. Your finished! Hook everything back up and make sure everything works!

I'm still trying to figure out how to be able to see from the driverside mirror (JDM passengerside). All I see is the side of my car. I'm sure you probably have this problem, what have you done to get around it? Thanks!

i have this very same problem. you can either live with it or use the blind spot mirrors. i dont even use my mirrors anyways. i just look over my sholder, so its not really a big concern.

Good for you. With my USDM mirrors w/blind spot mirrors, I never look over since I have a complete view. Guess, I'll have to get use to the fact I wont be able to do this anymore. Sucks!

Why the hell would you get rid of windows that work for some JDM coolguy mirrors that you can't see out of??? Seems a little like you guys have jumped on the JDM bandwagon.

If I like the look of integra mirrors on mine, I will sell you a set with the OEM relay, interior switch, covers, and mirrors for $240 shipped.

Just remember "JDM coolguy" is your term and not mine, I honestly just like toying around with things (kid at heart).

I've always liked the idea of wiring them up to your alarm, so when you arm it they fold in, when you disarm it they fold out
