installing hood pins
can someone show me a pic on where and how to properly mount hood pins in the engine bay

why, so i dont look like a ricer?...the pins arent for apperance purposes, the hood on my friernds civic keeps flipping up on the freeway so we're putting pins in for safety.

no you cant do that you have to have carbon fiber

if the stock hood flips up your latch is bad - i'd fix the latch (well it also could be a bad / loose cable) usually u get pins with CF cuz cf is so light it lifts and pops right off if u go too fast on the fwy. all up to you man.
just being sarcastic about the CF hood. lol

from what he tells me the latch system is messed up or something because he was in a accident and it requires a new core support or something. i dont know, i havent personally tooken a look at it. so hood pins would be a simpler and cheaper solution. this is just a beater car he uses to get to work and what not, so he doesnt want to spend alot of money on it since hes not planning on keeping it long anyway
