Installing a hood cable in a 99 SI??
Today i let my bro drive my car to the store. He comes back holding his head in shame with the hood release in his hand. He tired to show some stunna my JRSC and forgot to take off the hood pins. Anyways, he went and got me the part, and i was wondering if anyone has step by step intructions on how to replace the hood release and cable (Came as one), i suck at fixing stuff so should i even attempt this or let the pros handle it? Thanks...

Re: Installing a hood cable in a 99 SI?? (crujones)
it's damn self explanitory.
remove the bumper. The cable simply goes from the side of the firewall--->fender-->headlight area--->curves back in. Only a few bolts hold that latch on . Removing the actual cable from that piece is just like removing a throttle body cable.
While you're at it, re-route the cable so thieves cannot access it from the fender liner or grille.......
