Are these the squad ones or the round ones? Square ones only fit on the OEM '96-'98 bumpers and round ones fit practically any bumpers from what I know.

square ones, 98 bumper, but did not have fogs. I think I have to cut some of the plastic out, not sure how much.

there are brackets that mount to the bumper then the light mounts to those brackets. what kit did you buy? did it not come with instructions on what to cut, etc.?

bracket screws into the bumper. And yes you do have to cut the bumper.

you are going to need the brackets.

Rounds ones for the '96-'98 are different than the round ones for the '99-'00.

You'll need to cut out a section of the lower grille and you will need the brackets and hardware. There will be a really long bolt in with it btw. If your friend still has the car they came off of, go look at the bumper for anything metal.

No, the round ones for 96-98 Civics are for 96-98 Civics only. There are SO many round Honda foglights (accord, integra, civic, etc). The ones for the Civic are made to fit the Civic.

If you've never installed a set, please don't talk about how they fit.
