installing exhaust manifold stud

Default installing exhaust manifold stud

okay so stud on my ls broke and i figured out how to get it off and everything now i just need to know how to put the new stud in like how im supposed to tighten it and all...thanks

use two nuts and tighten them on. then just screw it into the head and back it off after

Im sure there is a torque to it but just tighten it pretty good. Make sure you use anti-sieze.

No, do not use anti-sieze on a stud. If it's a bolt, yes, use anti-sieze. If it's a STUD, use Loctite! Red Loctite to be precise. You should be able to get a tiny packet of it at the cash register area of any auto parts store for under $1.
