im having problems installin a cdplayer into my 96 cx hatch. The car kit will not fit the space the stock radio is in. Does anyone have pix of their 96 hatch with cdplayer install?? I kno for sure the kit works on the 99 hatch. Also has anyone put their cd player behind the cupholder. Push down the cupholder and it flips to hide the cdplayer. I've heard of this but does anyone know if the harness reach as far. Any help is appreciated!

That's teh problem. Most of Best Buy's car audio install stuff is pure ****, made by Jensen and doesn't fit right. I know because I worked in car audio for 3 months, until I got tired of ******* people.

The 96-98 kit should be rectangle, except for the corner closest to the driver side, it should be a triangle shape on that side, as the hole is not rectangle, but a rectangle and a small triangle shape. (make sense?)

The 99-00 is rectangle, as the radio is a rectangle in the dash.

The wiring harness is also different for the 99+. You need a harness for the 98 or older. They are the same prior to 99.

Get a Metra install kit and wiring harness. They are the best, and Circuit Shitty or any good audio place should have them.

And don't support Best Buy.
