Installed reman axle shaft, now have problems!
Installed a passenger side remanufactured axle shaft into my buddies '93 Del Sol Si, 1.6L, 5 spd last night. It now makes a clicking/clunking? kind of noise while turning left or right and accelerating. The store I bought it from says to verify that the noise is actually their axle shaft before they will swap me another one. I loosened and retightened the bolts with the car on the ground (except the axle nut as it's been staked). Is there something that must be done on the suspension as it kind've sounds suspension related, don't know. It only does the noise while turning and accelerating though...just need some pointers I guess.

That's a pretty CV-joint-specific set of symptoms there. I say take that **** back and get a new one. Sometimes you'll go through a couple before you get one that actually works.

What sucks is that the guy at the counter said that I had to "verify" that it's in fact their shaft, I don't know how else to make it clearer to the guy... He said that in over 4 years of working in auto parts, he's only seen 2 or 3 that had to be returned due to them being defective....
I need ideas on how I can verify that it's their shaft, how about putting the car's wheels up in the air by putting it up on jack stands and doing some testing that way? Where can I safely install jack stands on the lower arms so that the driveline would be in the same geometry as if it were on the ground? I don't know what else to do....
