bah! everything works fine, powers up, sound in all 4 speakers, but it isn't holding a charge, I connected it to the white with a blue line wire and it seems like that is the clock...because the clock turns on when I hook it up.

I am connecting an aftermarket deck directly to the car system becuase mine got stolen, as did the stock car mounting clip crap.

Also, anyone have the 'diagram' of the antennae because that got cut, and id like to get my ant. working again!

so ur not using the stock harness, casue i think if u want ur setting saved u need to hook it right to the harness, and about the antenna i want to no to casue the pin on mine is busted

ur prolbem is their is 2 positive wires, one to run the radio when the car is on and, the other is for its memory. what u need to do is get a volt meter and find out witch wire is power(with car on) and memory(car is off) and then read the diagram for the wiring harness on the radio and hook it up corectly.

you should go to the nearest swap meet and have hooked up for 15 bucks, you memory wire is not connected to the proper sources.

also ur antenna is the bigass black wire, that has a small neddle like point coming out of the center, but u said urs got cut so dig for a big cut black wire. its like a 1/4 inch in diameter

is there anyway that I can replace it? either by splicing a new wire into it to use the existing cut...oor do I have to re-wire the whole thing?

perfect, ill get a volt meter and try this out, maybe one of them is frayed.

the backup fuse is blown.

go to the engine bay,

open fuse box.

find 7.5 amp fuse labled "backup"

replace fuse.

why does EVERYONE overlook that

It wouldn't even power up if it was the fuse. Check to make sure these wires are hooked up correctly to the deck.

Constant 12V+ Blue/White
Switched 12V+ Yellow/Red
Ground Black

umm..i had the same problem, cd player powered up, just didnt save the settings.

the backup fuse also holds ECU settings. but when that fuse is blown the car still runs.

i guess it doesnt HAVE to be the problem, and it could the the wiring. but its too easily overlooked.
