installed ES shift bushings and now hard to get in gear
So I installed a set of ES shift bushings and stabilizer bushing. Also installed a megan racing short shifter. Everything went in smooth but it's hard to get into gear. It goes in gear but it takes a little force.
Is this normal? Like do they need some time to break in? They're the red ones

I guess that makes sense. I like the shorter throw but I don't know if I like that trade off.

It should force you to shift smoother by rev-matching. All it takes is very light pressure on the lever when going from one gear to the next. It will get to the point where it seems like the shift lever falls into place.

Ok. I've never driven a car with Polly bushings or short shift so I really don't have anything to compare what should feel right.
one thing I did notice when installing was that there was a small gap between the fork and the ball on the shifter. I tightened it down until there wasn't a gap. Maybe this is to tight?

problem solved. The bolt that connects the linkage to the shifter was way to tight. Loosened it up and it works perfect.
