Do you have the appropriate 02 sensor for the ECU? Any CEL's?

well im using the bosche o2 sensor...its not hooked up yet. The car starts...seems like its not getting enough gas...so i would have to floor the gas to keep the engine running.

Does it matter if you use the p28 or the p08? I think your o2 sensor has something to do with it, or maybe just needs some maintanence. IE; rotor, cap, sparks etc.? My .02

p28 reads a 4 wire...the p08 (d15b) ecu reads a 1 wire...i did a major tune up.

if its bogging out from lack of gas, could be bad injectors, check it out, maybe a blown o-ring somewhere

Unplugged O2 sensor will do that, also check the plugs on the back of intake matifold (3 of them are the same), and try switching up the two plugs on your TPS and MAP. And why are you using d16z6 harness you could of used your stock wiring harness, just need to modify it a little bit. What CELs are you getting? With wiring the 02 sensor I suggest playing around with it until you are going to be able to get rid of the CELs for the 02, since you don't know which wire is witch.

now that i think about it, isnt the d15b a vtec motor? the cx is non-vtec so your problem could be from not wiring the vtec in. your car would bog at where the vtec should kick in, that's around the 5500 rpm range i think.

I think that those two white wires are O2 sensor heater wires, but double check. So you will have to match them up with heater wires on your wiring harness.

BTW what did you do to your wiring harness I might buy it.

I had a similar problem with my d15 swap, but it was the igniter in the distributor that was the source of my swapping woes

Yeah it can. But check your CELs to see if anything else is plugged in wrong.

A) Cx's weren't prewired for Vtec. You have to wire them.

B) You haven't given enough information.

When does it bog? How does it bog? Does it bog OUT or just STUDDER? Does it idle fine? Describe.

C) An o2 sensor will only cause you to burn gas badly. It will NOT put your obd1 engine into limp mode. Sorry, I drove my four door with every o2 sensor code being thrown and all I did was spend five extra dollars on gas a week.

C) Check your intake manifold plugs.. im sure you did.. but you never know.

D) Make sure your cat isn't CLogged. Constricted air - Bad. "An engine is like one big air pump."

E) Vaccuum line check. That'll help.
F) Fuel system -- Replace fuel filter if you haven't. Make sure you have the right fuel pressure regulator for your fuel rail-- etc.

G) My car is doing the same freaking thing. I have a CX, z6 in my car, z6 wiring harness, p28 ecu.. none of that mickey mouse shiet. Fixed my o2 sensor codes, STILL studders and bogs out. Did a compression test today ( 165 170 160 165 )... Do a compression test if you can, and if you already did.. then good.

Post back with what you might find out and keep me updated also..

When i start the motor....i would then have to keep gasing it to keep the engine alive.

What could cause this problem? Could it be bad timing?
