Installed Autometer ShiftLite...works great!!!
Found it a lot easier at the track. Before, I'd let the tach needle go past 8K, kinda guess when it's 8200rpm, and at times hit the rev limiter..but now just shift when it lights up. The shift light comes with a 3Krpm test pill...and to test the accuracy of the stock tach...i found the light to come on at an indicated 2700rpm on the factory tach. Who knows how inaccurate it is at higher rpm. Here's a pic after I installed it:

Holy craps, thats awesome... I was actually wondering about where to place the light when I get one because I dont want it to be completely obvious. I have great peripheral (sp? YUCK) vision so somehting like that would work great for me. Looks awesome!

looks nice. Isn't that hard to see with the cap on it in the daytime? I know mine is.

Same here. The pill in my shift light is a 7600. But it goes off close to 8200 RPM (an indicated 8500 on my stock tach) just b4 the rev limiter.

you want the LED upgrade for the Pro Shift light? It doesn't work on the standard lights that come with the tachs.
Autometer # 5339
I paid $30 from Jegs, will sell for $15 shipped.

I never have any gas either I never would have thought to put one there, good idea. Is it so bright that placing it higher up (dash) would blind you?

What pill range did you get and do you have any extra pills that you would sell that you aren't going to use ?
Thanks.
Thanks.

The trick is to not angle it directly into your eyes. People that do this are DUMB.
I've got one on my dash, and it's angled AT me, but the light actually hits about on my neck Nice and bright, but not startling..even at night.

sorry, I happen to have it with me when I went to Jegs's in Columbus OH. They looked up my past orders and refunded me the $30 for it. I applied that towards a $70 dual gauge leakdown tester.
