they won't replace them without rotors because it's a safety hazard. fix it the right way or pic up a chiltons/helms/or haynes manual.

And if you replace the pads w/o the rotors, cross your fingers that you don't hit someone, since your liability in the accident goes up. And if you sell the car to someone in this condition, and they hit someone, you can be roped into that lawsuit.

Pick up some cheap rotors from AutoZone. They're around $14/rotor for the front. You'll probably spend more than that on pads.

x2 how would you feel about someone if they sold you a car they knowingly had junk brakes on?

yea well i was that guy who bought the car with **** brakes on it. except my pads and rotors werent bad it was my master cylinder that was bad. i was coming up on a 4 way intersection and hit the brakes and the pedal went all the way down to the floor and then i pumped them and the brakes locked up and i slid right through the 4-way intersection. i wanted to kill the kid i bought the car from.

the car is a junker i just need it to last like another few weeks. And the dealership is taking it off my hands so if they try to resell it they cant sell it in that kind of condition anyway.

It's not that hard to replace your rotors. Believe me, I changed mine in a parking lot once. About the most difficult thing will be loosening the caliper bracket bolts and caliper screws.

don't forget the impact driver to take out that pesky screw that holds the rotor on.
