Re: InLineFour Duckbill (shawnhayes)
I've owned both brands of CF wings. The Inline four wing I picked up first, and it was pretty good quality, not a lot of blemishes, and it had a good fit. I did have to widen the holes on my EG's mounting brackets, in order to move the wing over to the right just a little, but overall it fit pretty good, no huge gaps. Most of the people in my area buy products from the same shop, who was offering the VIS version, and the quality and fit of the Inline Four wing was much better. One thing though, the line where the bottom part of the wing meets the top started to open up, it was still sealed, but clear, and you could almost see inside the wing, this was after about a year of wear and tear. The Benen wing was purchased later, and the fit was perfect, no drilling or adjusting at all. It did have a few "pits" in the resin, but overall, very very good quality. After about 4 months of use, it started to lose it's shine a little, but I was happy w/the product none the less (before it was stolen - R.I.P. Benen CF wing 0006 )

Re: InLineFour Duckbill (rodrez)
my boy has had the Benen wing for a couple months now, and the shine is gone. as a matter of fact, the whole topside of the wing is ugly.. no shine, no coating... just nasty.. He just had it sent back, so hopefully the next one is of better quality.

Re: InLineFour Duckbill (DxHatchback)
I have to say, for the money spent, the Inlinefour duckbill is probably the best deal. The fit is better than other smaller brand names. There's way too much hype over Benen products. Although their construction seems to be better than most, epoxy resins don't hold up in direct sunlight for that long. So, you really can't blame anyone for that. Get that duckbill clear coated and call it a day.

roadrez and thunder lips, thanks so much for your replies
so should i go with the inlinefour duckbill for $280? i have the fiber images hood and its not the best(some "pits"(imperfections) in the weaves and the corner was cracked.)
is the quality of the ILF comparable to fiber images?

Re: InLineFour Duckbill (DxHatchback)
I'm so close to ordering one of those duckbills from Inlinefour. I'm not expecting perfection, but then again, anything made by hand is always not going to be perfect. I'm purchasing the product with realistic expectations...Not some $500 promise of perfection to only be disapointed. I am in no way knocking anyone that has bought Benen, I have never even seen one in person. I just don't think it's worth $200 more than the competitor. It just pisses me off that people that own a more expensive product on any level knock others that don't buy that same product. Life as you know is about choices, and some people choose to save a few bucks on an esentially non-functional part, and maybe spend that on their girlfriend let's say. (God forbid anyone on this site has other interests) Hey bro, if you get the duckbill before me, let me know how it works out...I'm really interested. Good luck!
