Heres my question. Right now I am running an AEM ITR cold air. It has been raining pretty hard lately and flooding a little in some areas. I also don't want to hack up the pipe and install a bypass valve. So I was going to buy a 3" short ram pipe since I already have the AEM filter and fittings, and run this setup until the weather gets better. I was also thinking about picking up an Injen intake heatshield for $40. How effective are they at keeping hot under-hood air from entering the intake tract?

The short ram sounds like a good idea, especially with all the rain we've been getting (yeah up here too in shithole NJ ). Heat shield might help, I don't have experience with it. Maybe others can answer that. I've heard really nice throttle response with short ram setups. Let us know how you like it.
