Default Indiglo gauge question

While driving at night it was difficult to see my cluster,so i took it off and noticed that they were indiglo gauges (lol i thought they were just plain white face gauges) they have the wires sticking out of the cluster but someone cut the wires. To hook the lighting of the indiglo back up do i have to have a relay or can i just run them to my dimmer switch thanks
i googled it but i cant seem to find what they hook up to light up and if i definatly need a relay

If you don't have the black wiring in the upper left of this image then toss them.

I would toss them anyways. Indiglo gauges are tacky. I saw ONE set of black and red ones that lit up white that I liked...but it was probably just because they were black and red. They were cheap and still not convincing enough for me to purchase.

As a kind of off-topic tip...if you start to notice small jank situations like that. I would take a good day to pull some dash pieces and double check other wiring to make sure you don't have any other jank **** in there that might be dangerous or cause problems later down the road. You'd be suprised at the off-the-wall stuff people do with wiring just to make it easier to wire in their neons or their super cool sony xplod decks with legacy amps and pyle subwoofers. If you start to notice electrical tape everywhere...be very cautious and look more and more in depth as you find more stuff.

Best of luck to you. Is this concerning 5th or 6th gen clusters btw?

Why are they off? You shouldn't have had to touch the needles if you did it right.

Lol have fun with that...I'm building a custom gauge cluster so I'm gonna have to deal with all kinds of BS when I put it back together

i cut the rpm and speedometer it came off easy and someone glued the gas temp gauge on the side and i pulled it softly but it was kinda hard since the needles face each other before i could get my scissors to cut the white gauge they flew off but its my first and last time, i just got to fill the tank up and let the temp get in the right range and i can put the temp gauge on in the middle and the fuel on full should be easy if they broke no biggie ill take a trip to the junk yard 35 40 bucks
