Increasing Idle Speed how?
Hey guys, i have a b18b1 swapped into a 94 si hatch and have recently installed A/C. The problem is everytime i turn on the A/C and the compressor kicks in the idle goes way down and when I am in neutral in a traffic light my engine dies. Since I have a chipped ECU and running boost I think the previous owner did not specify A/C operation thus, the idle speed is not increased when A/C is on causing the idle to fall all the way down to zero. My question is, can I increase the idle speed mecanically or electronically somehow so that when I put the car in neutral the engine doesnt die out? thanks!

i'm not super familiar with this but i believe there should be an a/c idle up solenoid that adds a small amount of air into the intake mani whenever the a/c is on to prevent the car from idling to low. perhaps the problem lies somewhere with that system. aside from that you can always manually raise the idle from the idle screw in the throttle body. just stick a flat-head screwdriver in there and adjust as you see fit.

Is it maybe electronic somehow? I know there are wires in the ECU harness for the AC. Maybe when the AC is turned on, the computer richens the mixture and increases the RPMs.
