Improving EG chassis?
This may be a very stupid post. I am currently buying a EG. I dont know if I am rambling abotu anything important.
My friend has a EG hatch adn one time there was 3 people in th rear of the car. He said that its not a good idea having that many people in the back seat because of the weight. The bar or something on the bottom coudl snap in half.
I want to debate on ways to to improve the chassis of the car since the car is so old. Are there ways to improve it? I just dont want to ride and all the sudden soemthing just snap off. I hope someone gets a jist of what I'm trying to say.
EDIT: I thin I found the right words....."reinforcing the chassis"

Somehow I doubt Honda would build a car that the frame would snap on if you had all of your seats occupied... to your friend for bunk information. Do you think so many people would build these cars up and use them as track cars if they were that frail?!

Re: Improving EG chassis? (dchan86)
seems like he just didn't want to give 3 people a ride...
JUN and 3M make a chassis foam that is injected in the chassis to reinforce it.. also provides some sound deadening... but as far as the chassis snapping i really don't see that happening

I dont let fat people ride in my car. Im already to god damn low when i am in it. I like that idea.
Umm sorry guys looks like we need to take 2 cars for us 5. My Unibody cant take the presure of 5 200lb people. I am preety sure at 1000lbs more wieght my suspension would sag and most likley not give any spring or dampening effect and the unibody would start to sag in the middle.

Hitting a big bump at 80mph has much more stress on the car then having 3 bodys in the back seat. Trust me the car isnt gonna break - period. Ive jumped my car (dont ask), hit bumps ive thought id dent all four rims, had 5 people in the car, done rally driving and god knows what else, ive never broken anything.

That's why I got a del sol. It's only burned me once, couldn't give a hot girl a ride cause my friend was riding with me. Just use a weight limit rule, nobody over 135lbs (or something like that). That'll weed out the fat girls too

one semester in college, I removed my rear seats for the sole purpose of having an excuse to not drive people around. nobody really believed me, but that's honestly why I did it.

Haha... nice!
Or, you could just get one of those autopower roll bars... then you can still have a back seat but no one can get back there to sit!

word...
i've had 7 other ppl in my EG hatch (don't ask)
good thing the po-po didn't see...
btw, aftermarket LCA are more for weight reduction.
swaybars, tiebars, and strutbars are for stiffening the chassis for improved handling.
what ever happened to those korbach frame locks???
i thought they were gonna make them from the EG???
