I'm thinking of doing this exhaust set up
I'm currently running a JDM 4-1 header into a 2.5" all the way freom the header to a Tanabe Racing Medallion. All the piping is Tanabe 2.5". (WAY TOO LOUD !)
Now, I want to replace the muffler ONLY for an ITR stock muffler. Is anyone running a similar setup. By the way this is going in an EK hatch w/ a ITR motor. TIA

I know that would be quite a bottleneck right there at the end. I'd call up someone who makes exhausts for this setup and tell them you want a reasonably quiet exhaust that makes good power. I think Greddy makes one that would suit your needs.

Check out Mugen's Sport Muffler, its expensive but really good stuff. Its a straight through muffler that bends back into the muffler where the exhuast pulses get cancelled out by the oncoming exhuast pulses, this reducing the exhuast tone. DC sports makes something similar to this but its probably way cheaper.

maybe an es oval muffler with a nice long resonator and a hi-flow cat. that should quiet things a little. well, actualy, im not sure how quiet that would be on an N/A car. im just throwing a suggestion at you.

You know what perfectly bolt up to the set you have? A RSR exmag 94-99 GSR application exhaust(catback) as in, you need a cat.
I'm running a B20 in my hatch with type r headers, cat, and GSR piping all the way back to the stock type r muffler. Now that's a true bolt on, no modications means not a single cut or weld. It bolted up as if it was made for the car

don't waste ur time with stock muffler's, way to restrictive, look into a ES oval, or comptech desing, if you go with ES oval you might be able to hack off ur RM and have a shop weld on the ES with a few brackets. then you could sell the muffler. if you go with comptech its more money but you can get a axel back design and it should bolt up to ur set up, im runing a comptech axel back from a EK civic and the muffler is long and i did have bend the brackets to make it fit cause i have a tie bar that takes up an inch or two
