i'm seriously going to blow my car up...
ok... i thought the problem was my vtec pressure switch...wrong i was. when i rev (while driving and in neutral) at around 5000-6000 RPMs for some unknown reason i get this cracking noise (like when you touch the postive and negative terminals on the battery together) but if i hold it there, it would sound like a metal saw. no freaking check engine light pops up either~!

Re: (siregcivic)
You might need a valve lash adjustment.
On my girlfriends 93 Teg, her LS motor was kinda making the same sounds you described.
Durring idle can you hear it? Dose it sound like its right next to the valve cover?

A video would be golden. Or if you want you could bring it by and i could look at it for you and help you out more.
Could just be your heat shield or something.
