I'm searched and read, searched and read....
...but still can't find a real answer. Can anyone tell me what the idle should be on a stock D16z motor. I have a 5spd Del Sol and mind hovers around 500 when its warm. Does this seem low to anyone. I feel like I kinda have to rev it up for a smooth take off. Please help, just wanna make sure its not a problem I need to look into. Thanks in advance.

Any tips on what I might be dealing with here. Is there anything simple to check. I'm a driveway "mechanic" ( use that term usely, I'm an idiot under the hood most the time). Please help a Honda friend out....

I also should not that the clutch is aftermarket. It was installed when I bought it. No idea what brand but I thought I read that can cause a change in idle.....BUMP

I've read that doing this can jack with the ECU. Any truth to it? It always seemed odd to me that I had so much trouble driving this car smoothly from takeoff when everyother car I've owned was a 5spd that I drove just fine. Any pics of where the idle screw is located(I already said I was an idiot with this stuff). Please help. BUMPITTY BUMP

Yeah, seems as though the idle is just set too low, turn it up a bit, see what happens
I'm not sure about where it is on hondas, sorry
I'm sure a search can reveal a diagram or picture, glgl

Thanks guys. So I shouldn't have to worry about screwing with the ECU? And do most cars tend to have this screw loosen over time. Just seems odd that Its never been touched and this problem is popping up. Thanks again.
