theres millions of things you could do to an engine to gain horsepower.
it all depends on how much money and time you are willing to give up.

No goals? HP goal? ET goal? What do you want?
An LS motor with a B16 tranny and a turbo at 10 - tuned - pounds should put you into the 12's with a good launch.

I say screw the tranny, get a B16 or GSR head and slap it on there (ls/vtec) - you'll definatley notice a difference after adding vtec, if that's not enough for u, aftermarket cams, camgears, and tuning will put ur hp numbers up pretty decent..but u'll still either have enough, or need a goal, if you have a goal then what is it?

That's pretty ignorant knowing how much money he can spend, which he already said above. Reading > you. And even if he does all that, he'll still be running a long *** LS tranny, which is only making him slower. Shorter gears = faster acceleration > faster Qrt mile times.

So long as you're on a B-series plant, a S21/Y21 should physically hook up. When it comes to US-market transmissions, I'm pretty sure S21s only in hydraulic (clutch) form. I think there was a Japan-only Y21 in cable form, hopefully your car is already in hydro form since they'd be easier to find.

I just had to click the thread because of the title lol.

quick talking like you're 12 or gangster man. this forum will eat you alive in no time. Just because I'm the first to call you on it, wont mean I'm the last.
also...an eg with an ls swap is nothing new. there's a big red word up the corner of your screen...search</U> as a matter of fact if I think right.
anyway, your answer:
the ls is plenty fast enough out of the box, you fighting with your "woman" has nothing to do with this. If you want more speed and cheaply, n/a is not the way to go. For that you need a lot of head/valvetrain work along with great exhaust/intake...and that costs a lot more money per mod for a given power result than boost.
$200/week is **** money and if that's what you have then I suggest saving up for the next 7 weeks straight and just getting a greddy kit for the ls and leaving it at that since they cost around $1400.
I suggest you read through all 214 pages of this thread:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1323059
and no, I'm not ******* around with you. You'll get one hell of a clear and concise idea of what you want to do if you read each and every single thread and analyze each of the setups and actually PRICE them out as you go.

he asked for peoples OPINIONS, I stated mine, so go ƒuck urself.
@ OP:
On that note I'll actually change my opinion on what u should do..
As ******** mentioned above, the tranny is too long in the LS, if u were to upgrade to more aggressive camshafts, camgears, a cold air intake, a catback exhaust system, a decent tune, and a lower geared tranny such as the B16 (as mentioned) u can get away nicely..
If you just add a cold air intake and a catback exhaust u'll free up some more hp potential that the engine has, probaby by like 10hp, even that on a decent tune u'll notice a difference.. If you just swap a shorter geared tranny in u'll be able to accelerate faster, but ur car won't be any faster, u do the basic I/H/E w/ camshaft and cam gears on a decent tune, with or without the tranny u can probably make 170 easily - but if ur whole deal is acceleration off the line then a shorter tranny would be ur best bet, or u could do either or and slowly add aprts as u go down the road O.o It's up to u in the end
