I'm pissed I want some real power
Sorry im gunna rant... Anyhow I currently have a sol with a b16a its quick. thats it, well im tired of say my car is "quick" i want to say god damn its ******* fast... so I'm going through this motor and another one that im gunna attempt a turbo b16 more/less as an experiament to see what i can do. Then im gunna build an insanely quick h23 bored to 2.5 and sleeved non vtec... im sick of vtec... I want torque and i want more reliabilty than a b20/b hybrid... and then if i dont feel some tire ripping power im going to something like an old mr2 trd rebuild..

Get something American with a 350SB.
I saw an LS1 F-body with a single turbo and about 580rwhp/640rwtq. If you think a 2.5L has "torque" you've been playing with Hondas too long.
Not being mean, but that set-up you are thinking about is going to cost a shitload of money, nevermind the fact the economy is going to suck for awhile, so why not do something simple like a cheap Chevy V8. It's easy enough to get 350-400rwhp all motor and even more torque...
Oh well, peace.

if you want real power ditch honda (no disrespect to honda owners) and go with a Toyota Supra turbo, Mitsu 3000gt, a 300zx heck why not a skyline, with all that stuff you want to do with an h23 might as well get a skyline and get yourself some "real" power. an old mr2 trd rebuild might not give you what you want...you are looking at all the wrong places buddy sorry

You are going to end up with a car that costs alot of money and will not be reliable.
There are other cars out there that will give you the power you want.

4 wheel dr power all the way baby. Damn a V6 import, if your gonna go all out go with a 4 wheel dr car. The sr20det would be my number one choice its just a matter of getting a 240sx to work with. My second choice would be a Subaru, modification wise i don't really know how much is available, but the MR2 would be hot too. Still Rules!!

You want to be real fast, you gotta start with a better platform. Yeah, you can make big power with a B series, but it takes time, money, tuning and knowledge.
You can buy a Supra TT auto or manual, do a simple BPU and be hitting 12's all day long on street tires.
Of course, there is the subject of insurance, gas and car payments, but who really cares about that stuff

Not to start anything, but if we could all afford the car payment/insurance on faster cars, i doubt many of us would drive hondas. I know i wouldn't. I'd drive a creaky dash and squeaky f-body. Just my .02 Good luck with your plans.

well one option you can do is put a b18c1 block in your car, this makes basically a type r motor. it will give you more torque, and wont break your pockets. your car will be fast. thats what i did, i used to have a b16a in my EG, i wanted my car faster so thats what i did, plus you can add all the type r stuff to your car like intake manifold, throttle body, cams, etc. if you dont change out the pistons your compression will be like in the 9's, so later you can throw on a turbo, if you want to go FI, or you can do a b20 vtec, that makes good power, theres a guy where i live who is running high 13's with a b20 vtec in a EG, on street tires too.
