Default IM Gaskets interchangeable?

I just recently swapped a d15b head onto my d15b7 block to make myself a nice little mini-me swap and i went to fire up the car and it shot all the way to 6500rpm so i had to shut it off. We noticed there was no gasket on the intake manifold . We proceed to take it off and put on an extra d15b7 intake manifold gasket i had off the old head presuming it will work. After tightening all of the bolts we were ready to add coolant to see if the car will idle/warm up correctly. While adding coolant we hear it dripping and it sounds like it's coming from the intake manifold area. My question to honda-tech is...are the d15b7 and d15b intake manifold gaskets differant? If they are please point me in the direction that you think my problems is being caused by. Thanks again and hope i provided enough info.

And YES I did Search

Im confused.... its dripping water? Hows the idle with the new gasket, still 6500?

Check all your coolant hoses to the head and see where it might be leaking from.

yes the water is dripping, its quite odd actually. The idle is at around 1600 when the car is cold and i didn't want to let it get to operating temperature with a coolant leak.

It was 2am and we got pissed so we called it quits until today. At 5 my buddy gets out of work at the local Honda dealer and we are going to solve this problem. Thanks for the suggestions

Well sounds like you fixed the idle problem.

Just look around for where the leak is coming from, should be a easy fix.
