Default Im an EF guy, so gimme a break

I just picked up a z6 for free, and im wondering what tranny it has in it. Whats the different codes for the different cars, or are they all the same? BTW..its a 5 speed.

that tranny is not gonna work with your car. since the clutch is hydraulic and
the one in your ef is cable.

Well what car are you trying to put it in, or are you trying to sell it?

Like it's already been stated, that hydro tranny won't work in your EF (unless you want to drop coin on an expensive conversion) so I guess you're either trying to sell it or you found a 1992-1995 Civic?

Anyways look right above the filler plug near the diff - it's a 17mm nut that you remove to fill the trann. Anyways look right above it and you'll see a code:

A000 means CX/DX/VX - the DX is different, but you'd have to tear the tranny apart and count teeth to see though. All 3 have the same code.

B000 means Si/EX

Thanks alot B18C5 for your help. Thats exactly what i wanted to kno, Im not putting the tranny in my car, im probably going to sale it since now i kno its an si tranny.
