IM IN BIG TROUBLE GUYS HELP ME!!
Car: 1997 Honda Civic DX
Engine: B18b with the following mods done by me:
- CP pistons
- Eagle Rods
- ACL Main Bearings
- OEM Rod Bearings
- ARP Main Studs
- Exedy Flywheel and Clutch
- OEM Head, Gaskets, ETC....
- GSR Transmission
I drove it earlier today and it was fine. No problems. I take it out for the night and driving normal at 35mph 4th gear low RPM's around 3.5-4k and about 25% open throttle. I hear a "clickity clank" for a second and the car just dies. Can't get it to turn over after pulling over. No hole in the block, no oil leaking, no water leaking, no funny odors, oil level is where it's supposed to be. What can be the problem? I will pull the head tomorrow to check but just wanted to get a rough idea as to what may have went wrong. Help!

Yea only way to tell is by pulling stuff. Were you still running the stock ecu or did you ever get it tuned? Remember how i was telling you things could go wrong with the stock ecu and stock compression, well you might just have found out what that is. But tearing it down is the only way.

I had a 94 integra with a b18b a couple of months ago and the tip (dont ask me how it happened) of the spark plug actually broke off and fell down in and put a hole in my piston which locked up the whole motor....pull your plugs and check them too...

Even if it is, I've learned a great things about engine builds. I can recall all of you giving me advice about my build etc. So thanks to those who helped me. And thank god for that trusty honda manual.
Anywho, I don't think I'll try to repair it but instead I'll try to get a GSR longblock. How much do those run?

It can happen to any brand of spark plugs.
Take a picture of said spark plug and we could tell you what happened.

BOSCH plugs are bad in Hondas. Get NGK or DENSO. I get people that buy BOSCH plugs for their Hondas all the time and they almost always come back complaining. I don't know what it is but they never seem to run right in Hondas.
