Default illegal lights

hey i have these two lights on my hood, where the washer fluid comes out. i heard from a police officer that if they are either blue or red they are illegal, but i heard from different officer that any light above your headlights are illegal. which one is true? mine are blueish, but they are not any bluer than some of the newer headlights.

i live in a diff state but i have always heard blue and red are illegal PERIOD bc its imitating an emergancy vehicle and as far as colors for the front of the car only legal ones are halogen, white (hid only not hyper white) for the headlights, amber only for turn signals and yellow or halogen for fogs, the rear is red only for brake and amber or red for turn signal

all depends on the cops in your area... some may not care and will let you go ... some will pull you over... but in most area's Red,Blue and White are illegal... and if they flash...dont even bother putting them on while driving...i personally think the washer lights look kinda stupid... but thats my opinion

any lights from there warrents the cops to pull you over. it's up to the discretion of the police officer to either warn you or cited you for the violation.

about the only thing they are good for are when you get a cf hood and no pre-drilled holes but you got to cut the wires off.

just buy a switch from an electronic store nothing fancy. all a switch does it complete the circut, when it switched to the on position. its a really easy thing to wire up, should take you no more than 30 minutes to wire up and that including the drive to radio shack or wherever to by the switch and wire.

why are there two posts? but yes just get some kind of switch that you can shut them off with, and only use them when you want to risk it.

you should get rid of those gay *** things. but if you insist, it depends on the state.

Blue and red are no-nos because its police colors.

I had ones that came with my car, so I just dumped the power wires into my turn signals. I hated the always-on look and wanted to make some use of them.

Never gottel pulled over for that, but did get pulled over for having a white turn signal. Of all ******* things, at least I USED my turn signal. He let me go, saying that "I was lucky." he called it in and said that it was okay to have them in the front.....

The white turn signals came with my car from the factory. That's a bunch of horse ****. I hate cops cuz they pull you over for the stupidest ****.

I figure if I have to ask myself if its illegal and its gonna make me paranoid about being pulled over I probably dont need it.
