Default iight... i got a question jdm d15b vs mini me swap

i have a 94 civic dx with a sohc non vtec motor, a cable tranny and 145k miles on them. im thinkin of getting a new motor i have the option of getting a jdm d15b(sohc vtec..130hp) or do the mini me head swap with a different tranny.. the reason y i wanna change my tranny is becuase i hear my tranny isnt good for racing. gettin the d15 ( w/ hydro tranny, ecu, harness, a.c, distributor, p.s pump, and alternator)will cost me 800 shipped while doing the mini me swap wit cost about 500 .. but then what will i do about the tranny .i want a hydrolic tranny.... money is an issue becuase im only 17 and i make roughly 600-1000 $ a month... here is the question should i get the jdm motor set or do the mini me swap???.....keep in mind that my motor and tranny have 145k miles(racing with that many miles is risky) please give me your opinion .. thank you
