Ignition switch and cooling fan problems
Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I'm new and can't post a new thread yet. I have a problem, actually, a couple of problems.
Occasionally my ignition won't work. I turn the key and nothing happens. It sometimes takes 4 or 5 turns before it will fire. Sounds like a loose wire, no? Everything will "light up," just no engine fire. Dead silence.
This next problem I think is related. My cooling fan won't turn on. Yes the fan works. I actually ran a bypass switch in order to get it working. I've checked the fuses, relays, and replaced the temp switch.....still nothing. It actually ran hotter with new temp switch.
Anyhow, someone else was having this same problem (the cooling fan) and they said it turned out to be an ignition wire (yellow) that was not firing up the fuse box (under hood). How do I go about solving this as I know very little about auto electric.
And my car is running hot but lets get through the first two issues first.
Thanks!
