Ignition Switch for a 97 del so, where to get, ebay?
So I finally got around to testing my ignition switch, and in II or ON position there was no continuity b/w any wires, I have seem used ones on ebay for $90ish shipped, any idea how much a new one is at the dealer?
Is there a way to start the car in the meantime?

I can buy the electrical switch for my 00 Civic at Majestic Honda for $48 (without shipping & handling). Look under the combination switch section.

I got one from ebay, it was an authentic oem ignition switch. I got it for around 30$. It was for a 92-95 civic though. It was used but it works fine and is in good condition. So i'd try ebay as long as you are looking for good quality parts.

All the ignition switches for del sole are starting at 70ish and above, oem, I do not mind paying for it bu being a used part not sure how long would they last?
What do you guys think of the item below, its just the electrical switch, but NEW for civics and my del sol is after all a civic

Yeah thats what i got, sorry to confuse. I didn't wanna get the new assembly. The electrical switch is usually the only thing that goes wrong.

I think I am going to try my luck with the ebay item above, one more question, while replacing the electrical switch, the manual states, in tem 6 on Right, to "turn the key to 0 or LOCK" (see image of the manual below in link)
Is LOCK not the IGN position when the car is off anyways?, should I just inset and leave the key IN when removing the "electrical switch"?
Also,
What if I want to take the switch out today, can I remove the key and when I receive the new switch in mail come back and finish the job, OR would I have to LEAVE the key in there for the entire time, sorry if I am reading too much into it?
