ignition problems...really need some help
well i was around 6000-6500 rpms last week and my car started to stutter and then turned off. when i tried to start it again it would turn over but wouldnt start. oh BTW i have a full MSD ignition setup, sci ignition, pro cap, and i used to have the SS ignition coil. i was told that the SS was a shitty coil and was recommended the Blaster 2. i replaced it with the Blaster 2 and it worked better than before, my car would start right up without ANY hesitation... until today when i turned my car off to get gas it did the same thing it did before, turned over but wouldnt start. i checked all the connections and when i removed the cap on the Blaster 2 it looked burnt at the connection, it was blackened around the screw. What could be causing this to happen? could there be a short in the ignition system or could my ignition itself or the distributor be frying my coils. please i need help my car is stuck at the gas station and i dont want to put another coil in there if its just gonna blow up. thanks for any help.
