Default Ignition Problem... need some help folks.

Ok well last night I drive my car home, no problems what so ever. Change clothes come back out hop in the car, turn it on and start to back out of the driveway- it dies all the sudden..no sputter, hesitation or anything just dies. My first thought is the coil. Check for spark and there is none. So today, I pull the cap and rotor and run the electrical tests with the volt-ohm meter that the Helm suggests. All tests on the coil, come out with in range and the ignitor as well. Now the stupid relay isn't kicking on the fuel pump.... and I replaced the relay with a new one late last week. I'm thinking I have an electrical gremlin somewhere and need some assistance, or if anyone knows a better test of the coil and ICM it would be appreciated. Thanks!

PS: Need help fast, its Friday only got today to go to Honda or part store and gets parts tomorrow.... Auto-X is on Sunday!

Did you check for blown fuses?

Thats what I'm thinking is the situation, especially since it died out of no where. I'm wondering how accurate these "resistance and voltage" tests really are from Helm since it seems from searching posts that readings can be fine and parts still need to be replaced. Thanks!

After an afternoon or two of electrical testing.....
Coil was bad even though the resistances according to Helm were with in spec. Replaced it since my friend had one in stock and bam car started right up. Then died.....
Back to the fuel pressure problem- replaced the relay last week and car wouldn't start initially, started and has been fine til the coil went out. Ran some tests on the relay- fine. Pump- not so fine. Turns out my fuel pump took a dump. But when jumped through the relay it turns on (yeah I know not the greatest idea but I had to get my car running). Pull out the jumper and the relay and pump are working fine Figured I'd share the info for anyone else having similar problems.

If you have fuel and no spark and the coil is fine, then it's the ICM. I've had two burn up due to bad grounding. I would clean the battery terminals and all grounding strap contact points. Then replace the ICM with an OEM part from honda. Tip: tell them your car is a 92 year. When I told them my car was a 98 the price was $200. Came back and told them it was a 92 the price was $94. :-D

Don't know if you read my above post but it ended up being the coil even though the resistance values were with in spec. Good info on the ICM purchase though
