Ignition coil question
Ok so I drove my car home the other day and it was fine and then I go to start it later and nothing, it just turns over but has no spark.. I took the plugs out and they had gas on them.
So I check my ignition coil and the primary reading is at .8ohms in spec however the secondary is at 11.22Kohms which is out of spec.
I have a jdm b16 and dont know if the readings are supposed to be the exact same as whats in the manual since its the D16 engine in the manual.
Anyone have any input on that?
Also I performed the test on the car while it was outside and the temperature is probably around 30 today, dont know if I should take it off and test it inside?

You should bring it inside and get it up to about 70ºF and retest it but I bet it still won't hit spec.
You can get just the coil.

Re: Ignition coil question
alright im going to bring it in and test it at room temperature tomorrow morning.
I noticed that my rotor looks like its a burnt clutch, the outside that touches the contact points looks worn down and all the contact points had carbon on them plus there was a little carbon on the inside of the cap.
Anyone think the cap and rotor may be the problem?

Easy stuff.
The cap terminals can get really nasty after years of use.
