ignition coil?
ive been having a problem with my car bucking lately at about 2500 rpms and other misc. parts of my power band. but today when i was on my way to work it bucked violently and my tach went ape **** and my car turned off and was hesitant to turn back on (luckily it did). but what could cause this, i was thinking dizzy or a part of the dizzy assembly (igntion coil, rotor cap, etc.), i was also thinking an o2 sensor since my car is running rich.

Re: (93dx757)
ya know im not sure, but probably. my car broke down on the freeway today but i think it was a VTEC controller ~ ecu error resulting in several blown fuses, controller is coming out tomorrow to eliminate that as a possibility.
please, no one chime in about me using a VTEC controller, unless you've owned one and done some homework on it.

it sounds as if it is your ignitor which is located in your distributor. It runs about $100 for this part, the cheapest route would be to replace your whole dizzy for about $150 in case you have other issues with your coil or other wiring in your dizzy.
