If you can give me any opinions on the EG SOHC turbo route, I would appreciate it.

I am about to sell my winter car(the accord) and get an eg hatch. I am gonna get a low milage D-16, and turbo it.
What can you tell me about how your EG has been. Any big problems or anything?

Mines been great. Been boosting for 9 months now. Only problem I encountered was a blown headgasket.

turbo is A LOT of fun...all the little troubles that pop up dont really matter once you hit full boost and pass by unsuspecting gsr's and si's...
But the downside is....its VERY addicting...i had a goal of 200hp out of my d16, but thats not enough for me now...so this summer i'm ditching the greddy turbo and building a jdm d15 (or d16z6 if i can find one for cheaper) and going wit something bigger...

Re: (SlowSOHC)
Well, except my secondary objective is handling. I plan on going to driving school at mid-ohio, and a nearly 3000pound accord just isnt preferable. I will be stripping this hatch, lexan windows, fiberglass or CF hood...etc etc.
Plus, I would rather put an h22 and boost it in a hatch, heh.

Re: (eg6turbo)
I am looking at an ACT stage 2 clutch. Does anyone have a preference in terms of clutch?
Did any of you get a new flywheel or get your OEM one shaved down?

How easy is it to find a D15B and how much do they usually go for? I just read up on these engines a few nights ago, and I too am considering going the SOHC turbo route though I was contemplating just keeping my D16 that's already in the car and boosting it.
A guy I met through the local car club was saying he's building a turbo'd D16 in place of his B18C1 and gave me some impressive numbers... I'm most concerned about practicality as a daily driver and the investment required. I'm all new to the world of FI so I'm just going to keep reading what everyone else is doing.

well my complete d15b vtec would go for about 500-700 this is for the complete swap...u will need sum other minor parts to get everything working right....so far i have had good results with this motor i think there are only a couple other turbo d15b's and they also have good numbers.....also which d16 u have if its not vtec u should upgrade...just more potential for less money....and since i use the greddy kit its been design for the street/strip person in mind....the only thing u will see alot of....is the gas station.....
