If it runs good is it good, in regards to ECU's??
OK, I have a '96 hatch with a '99 y8 with my wiring harness which was modified. I was originally running the stock ecu for the y8 and it was throwing a code, 91. Couldn't figure it out and it didn't run all that great so I decided to go obd1 (p28 with a conversion harness). That ran good and I was content until a buddy gave me a obd2 ctr ecu. I had it for about a week and the car ran really good. I had to give it back. I now have a p73 (obd2 itr ecu). The car runs really good. It idles good (had a little rough idle with the p28) and throws no codes (only had code 91 ,evap, with the stock ecu).
So my question is: Is it alright to use the p73 for my y8?
The motors runs and idles great, better than stock ecu and better than p28, and isn't throwing any codes. Keep in mind the y8 has a knock sensor.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

you should run the correct ecu with your motor. i remember a while back when a ran a P06 ECU with my B18C1 and it felt like ****.
