if i buy an integra front clip...

hey guys

i own a 96 civic ex, and there is a place near me selling a whole integra front clip w/ b18 c.

i know the engine will go in fine, but will the tranny, or more importantly the whole pedal/shift linkage etc.. fit into my civic? i want to do the tranny swap from auto -> manual while the b18 is being swapped in... is this possible? or am i going to have to get civic specific parts?

and one more thing, there is 115k on the clock, should i just pass and wait for a better oone?

thanks

you need the CIVIC pedals for sure and you need the clutch master and slave from a 99 to 2000 Civic SI. and the driver side motor mount thats under the T-belt cover that bolts to the motor and the actually side motor mount that bolts to the car for the 99 to 2000 Civic SI. then the rear mount and torque mounts and the passagener top trans mount should fit just fine

not right .......

you can use the civic si pedals (prefered) clutch master and slave will work from any honda as said above you need the timing cover mount and the rear BRACKET the mount will work fine all other mounts you will use off your civic ... now you need to learn about the wiring to this job ...... oh and the shift linkage will work fine

so heres what im going to need for sure: pedals, timing cover mount

stripped honda, is the wiring job especially complicated?

also is this the most cost efficient way of going 5 spd + engine swap?

Re: (ekcivic9)

for the civic EX it isnt too hard to wire the harness to the b18c .... you just need to cut and extend some wires ... if you mark each plug before you take it off the old motor it will be a easy install if you dont then your looking at problems later ...

okay lovely.

so its only a few minor parts that i would need to get. would this be a more cost efficient way to go rather than swapping to manual first then dropping an engine in?
