Default if the check engine light is on does it mean vtec will not work?

dont know what codes im throwing but i think there for the 02 sensors.. but will this make vtec not work?

alright... cause i have a b16a with itr cams... and im sure vtec will be noticable but i dont notice it at all... i need to wire the ks and the o2 sensors and hopefully itll work

At this point the last thing you need to worry about is "mad vtec yo".

Find your problem and fix your car! Get a book and do some reading.

engine light will not always keep VTEC from engaging. VTEC will still engage without a knock sensor in the engine at all. but if your running your engine without O2 sensors , lol , which is hilarious , im sure that will dampen the cars spirit , lol.

the v-tec wont work the same when the check engine light comes on. It goes into a "limp mode" so u dont damage anything.

vtec needs five things to engage. The correct oil pressure, the correct water temp, VSS reading speed, a load on the motor, and the correct RPM's. If you have a CEL that directly effects any one of those, than you will not have vtec. So having a knock code, or 02 code does not effect vtec. Now it will however effect other things.
