Default idling issue after headgasket replacement!!

Hey guys well i've been trying to get this car running right and it just being a pain in the butt... I had been have some idling problems for a while until i fount the culprit to be a leaking intake manifold gasket. after replacing that the car started running really weird and found out it had a blown headgasket. So i already have replaced timing belt, water pump, timing belt tensioner, head gasket, intake manifold gasket, clean out the IACV, replaced all vaccum hoses, new pcv valve, fuel filter, spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor and check the ignition coil and module, and done a valve lash adjustment and compression checked it... Compression test was as follow

Cylinder #1 - 176psi
#2 - 173psi
#3 - 171psi
#4 - 176psi
the engine has 180k oil comes out clean all the time no metal flakes good fuel pressure good oil pressure we did a leak down test and no leaks what so ever... when we replace the headgasket i tried running stock timing on the distributor and the car hated it and ran really boggy so I advanced it back again and the car runs like a champ just my biggest problem it does is on cold start up the car idles rough with a small sputter than when warm car idles slightly better but when i come to a full stop the idle drops down to 400 rpm at random times but when warm the car still sputters slightly which is very noticeable. I need some more input cuz i really want to get the car running good because the engine is pretty healthy.. so anyone help me out?

here is a shot...there is a list on HT that is composed of cars that came with a FTP (fuel tank pressure sensor) and ones that did not..... if you car does not have on and the ecu that you are running is looking for one, you will have a cel, and it will do some funky things like search for an appropriate idle (rev up and down) and when the car is warm....sometimes it will drop to really low rpms and shut down. I installed a potentiometer to feed 5 or 6 volts to the sensor wire at the ecu. it seems to work as long as you tank is over half full.
