well ive had this problem for a while. my car is a 96 civic ex, its now boosted and running a obd1 ecu and i still see it happening.. not that i thought boost was gona fix anything

when my runs for a while and the engine temp gets towards normal, the idle drops down to normal 900rpms or so.

then as it gets a little warmer, nothing dangerous, just after driving around town or sitting in trafic a few times, i notice, like a switch, it will switch to idling at 450-500rpms which seems very low.

whatever chenge is taking place, if it happens while idle, i can notice it happen like a switch, all the sudden idle drops.

my random guess would say some kind of temp sensor is messed up.

same here 00 gsr in a 94 dx coupe, the only code it throws is o2, noc sencor. idle drops only on chipped ecus not stock ecus.

same problem. when i'am at a stop light or drive thru, my idle drops to 500, rpm but when ac is on its goes back to 1000 rpm why ....

mine does it on chipped obd1 and stock obd2 ecus. i think i may have a defective fan motor, now that i think of it, it doesnt seem to come on anymore. i was thinking maybe this happens when the fan is supposed to turn on.. not sure. . but my car never overheats, it only 30 degrees tho
