Icon2 Idle wavers, but settles

I've got a b18c1 in a 98 hatch. Idle has been an issue for awhile and is now pretty good, but still off. I've cleaned IACV, FITV, etc... Idle is set to 750 and will idle there perfectly until you hit the gas... It always settles to 750, but will waver a few times between 500 and 1000 before settling. It also sometimes seems to bog when you first tap the gas at idle and the rpms drop before rising, fuel issue? Any ideas this problem is really an annoyance?

Is the CEL ON?

Try cleaning the throttle body and checking whether the throttle cable is adjusted too tightly.

Also try bleeding the cooling system.

No CEL, I've cleaned TB, and bled coolant twice.

Throttle cable is good, however I know I've had to play with the butterfly stop screw, it was way off when I bought the car. If I back it out much more it lets the butterfly stick shut. I do think moving this would affect the voltage coming from the TPS, could this be the cause?

This could be your problem. The stop screw was not meant to be adjusted. Try picking up a replacement throttle body from a scrap yard.

I agree, however I'd rather not replace it, it's an Edelbrock 65mm. Surely there is a proper way to adjust it to spec. I haven't had any luck finding that, but maybe adjust it while monitoring TPS voltage since I know the TPS has never moved?

Have you tried cleaning the FITV and replacing the PCV valve?
