idle surge after y8 I'm swap
hey guys. I swapped the y8 intake manifold onto my y7. used the y7 injectors and fuel rail. y8 intake with y7 throttle rotor. new gaskets. I haven't been able to find a diagram of all the hoses and lines but according to what I know and the threads I used everything is in the right spot. from what I understand there is an iacv on the throttle body and now one on the back of the y8 I'm. I have the one the throttle body plugged in and no plug onto the I'm one. I looped the bottom of the useless iacv and have no sensor plugged in. when I start the car it revs super high and stays there. please

Car details?
You need to get the IACV hooked up to the ECU. The only version to use a 2-wire IACV is the manual EX. If you have an automatic you need the automatic EX manifold with three-wire IACV. If the car is manual you need to swap the ECU and move some wires to convert to a 2-wire system. |

1999 hatch 5speed.
your saying the sensor on the back of the IM needs to be hooked up as well as the one on the throttle body. and since my car is standard I need a new computer to run the y8 IM |
Re: idle surge after y8 I'm swap
some people just block off the whole iacv on the back of the manifold so why should it matter if I plug it in or not

Air injection y8 mani need help - D-series.org
This thread has a pic of the injection nipple located between injectors/runners 2/3. easy to tell if you have it or not. If you do and its not capped, there is your major vacuum leak. That thread had another link to deleting the port if necessary. |
